Its plain and simple put a knife at the end of your gun and charge. It would give you more options of attack with just one slot filled up with two weapons. Instead of both in seperate slots. ;p
the purpose is so that one slot is a sidearm and the other the weapon of choice with a fat knife at the end, the knife would cost less ap to use so u could get more attacks in a close range and a little farther distance then just being in front of the guy to hit him.
Not much extra coding, I think. Just a gun you can use as a ranged weapon AND as a melee weapon. Maybe that's just 10 lines extra code... If Fallout 3 will work just like Fallout 1&2, you could just right-click on the weapon, and choose thrust. It's like you have three weapons in two hands! You could have the gun with bayonet in one hand and maybe some grenades in the other hand...
I'd love to have a Turbo Plasma Rifle with Bayonet, or no, even better, one on my Vindicator Minigun. (quite honestly, I think stabbing someone with a bayonet causes significantly less damage or pain that hitting them in the head with a minigun )
Bayonets is there anything better.... well I totally agree with ya´! there should be bayonets in the game... and I think there should be more swords and knifes in the game I really missed that in the first and second...
Yeah, bayonets are sweet, especially if you can use them like they were intended. Your opponent has a rifle with a bayonet, and so do you, he thrusts with his bayonet, you parry the blow, swing around with a butt-stroke to the head, and follow up with a bayonet in the ribs. Gaaahhhhhhh....... makes me drool just thinking about it!
I think that having a bayonet is a GREAT idea. i would have loved to have a bayonets so i could sikk it into the groin of an enemy and twist it around and pool out.
