http://www.gothicradio.com/console/index.htm Cool, underground tracks.
http://www.weirdlinks.com/ Because I'm too lazy to dig up my own.
http://maddox.xmission.com/ Pirates rule.
http://www.saviodsilva.com/love_poems.htm Sappy I know.
http://www.rupissed.com/index.html Online toxicity test.
http://www.radiolovers.com/ Old radio programs.
consumptionjunction.com Just plain wrong.
http://www.nma-fallout.com/ Duh.

*edit* I Took out the link to CJ. Cut and paste at your own risk. Not work safe. And pretty nasty, especially on Sunday.

I don't think that we need links to roten type website. They are rather of poor taste and/or judgment.
I'll lock this thread for a day, if no other admins/mods dissagrees, tomorow it's vatted

Why don't you just edit out the site and make some rules for the thread? Besides - the majority of internet users know what Rotten.com is.

Here are my picks...

http://www.realultimatepower.net
Coolest site ever.

http://theorder.nma-fallout.com
The Order. We're more elite than you.

http://www.plaidvitaminbooking.tk
My old booking and promoting company. I designed the site and love it.

http://www.doitdoitbooking.tk
My new booking and promoting company. I designed the site and love it, but not as much as PV.

Yeah so everybody knows about rotten... it's still tasteless.
Everybody knows about goatse (well, at least 2000 DACers), it doesn't make it allright to post the links here anyway.

I'll keep the thread open (i had forgoten to lock it anyway) with this new rule: NO tasteless stuff that might be offensive to some people keep it "somewhat clean". I'll let the definition of somewhat clean to your good judgment.

Everybody knows about it, so they know what they're in for if they click it.

I've never seen any repurcussion for linking to goatse. :D Besides, it's gone now, anyway.

As long as no one links tubgirl, we're cool. :)

Who is this getting censored for btw?

I never got reasons for forums censoring stuff. I mean I can imagine forums like disney or other stuff like that, but come on, what is it accomplishing here?

If a person doesn't want to click a link, that's fine. If he/she wants to, that's cool, at his/her own risk. Nobody is guiding anyone's hand to click the links...

Or is it about instilling the website's moral values and/or upholding the decency of the site?

Not criticizing here, just want to know why.

I've not clicked any links in this thread.

One of my links contains a link to both tubgirl and goatse. But it also contains random amusing pictures.

http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html (pretty pictures. (And backgrounds, when I need them)

http://tyrants.will-kill.us/ (A game that one of my friends is making. (or at least, she says she's going to start coding soon.) Great address, anyway.)

http://www.darwinawards.com/ ('nuff said)

http://www.armory.com./tests/purity.html (the location of the nerdiness test)

http://ssshotaru.homestead.com/files/aolertranslator.html (translates regular english to chatspeak)

http://www.vmlinuz.ca/archives/elug/2002-10/msg00547.html (regular Windows error messages, in Haiku)

Generally, NMA is supposed to be a PG-13 board. It caters to all audiences and all ages...of course, there are a lot of things on here of an adult nature (ie - cursing, the "Who do you think is more sexy?" thread, a lot of the debates, themes of threads in general), but we do like to keep it as clean as we can when we can.

Sites like Rotten, Goatse, Tubgirl, and the like, are meant to offend, and are meant to be disgusting. There's no need to have them on our board...we're not here to promote offensive material, after all. I'd hate to lose even one NMAer because they didn't know what Goatse was, clicked on it, threw up, then never came up because they felt NMA was becoming a cesspool of filth. It's just not worth it.

Yes, sometimes we moderators do go a bit overboard, but we try to do what we think is right, and best for NMA (and in my case, The Order).

If you ever have a problem or complaint, PM Rosh about it.

Most of the sites I visit on a daily basis are either emulation or rom related, so I don't think I'll be able to post those links...

And Something Awful, but Montez beat me to it.

I actually think rotten is a good site because of the articles and information. I don't even think the pictures are that bad as they give an explanation of what happened and I think it's just the same as a biology lesson without all the crappy diagrams. Also the news part is fun, for instance

You'd probably lose more nma'ers just by spamming, the topic titles or long posts, but whatever. Beware of immature themes or something. Isn't it a little strange the fan-site for a game requiring you too be at least 17 is censored for 13 year olds? I also think they show boobs in pg-13 movies, but I was probably watching some other movie by accident or something.

As far as links go, I think keeping it work-safe is the more important reason. I don't want to click on a thread or a link and end up with something on the screen that could get me fired, and kids are going to see porn and disgusting pics if they want to anyway. No one wants to get passed over for promotion or have people think they're a head case because tubgirl happened to be on the screen though.
