Water Chip? Been There, Done That
i got idea to simply and very fast make new game:

game that would be mix of all fallout series F1 + F2 + FT

-half world map from F1 (upper) and F2 (down)
-some cities from f1 and f2
-scripts from f1&f2 (modify his *.msg files to look different :o )
-most graphics from ft

all mix together and modify to work

A considerable amount of work has been done on this already. Wild_qwerty made the critter packs from FoT and also weapons and some scenery. I have most of this working in FO2:

80+ new weapons from FoT
- includes new ammo types and calibers
- uses FoT ground images
- uses FoT projectile animations
- new weapons sounds (real gun sounds)
- have modified store scripts that stock these items
- most critters on existing FO2 maps use new weapons
- have modified random encounters that use these items

New critters from FoT
- have modified random encounters with new critters

Misc
- have replaced FO2 explosions with FoT animations

Scenery
- have about 200 scenery FRMs ready, will have working protos for these in a week

- have some of the other FoT item FRMs ready, will have working protos for these in a week

- Also plan to add vehicles (as critters) from FoT

- I don't think the FoT tiles are usable.


Here's an example of an encounter changed to use new weapons:

I also have a set of FO1 maps with all of the critters and items removed. This is preparation for adding them to FO2 with new critters and items. I have a similar idea, but its just california, adds the FO1 locations to FO2, but aged to the FO2 storyline.

Your "big mix" mod is interesting, but I don't think its all that quick to implement (considering how much time I have spent on the above), and I tend to think that small but quality/detail is better than big. Its fun to have new places to go and new items and critters along the way, but without any kind of plot or quests the game will run out of steam pretty fast.

What about that Mad Max mod ... aren't you working on that?

For some time i wonder how transfer scenery graphics from FT so i'm wery happy that someone did (must see this :o )

Already i use some FT critters from Wild_Qwerty packs and try make them walk faster. Anyway i try to make some new critters. Look at my profile image- it is "black knight" experiment 8)

MadMax4 project is in progress (Corpse made australian world map and great cars. I try to make some ravolution items what u never seen in none game)
 
if you want to make them walk faster try adjusting the FPS (frames per second) for the walking FRMs using Frame Animator
