On the 7.00PM ABC News in Australia, they said a secret document was leaked from the French Govt that says Bin Laden is dead. Could this be true? :shock:

Bin Laden dead, well didn't hear a word of it... But does that make a difference, in the end we still have to deal with the Al Queda network and whoever decides to fill Bin Laden's turbin.
 
if bin laden died all tabloids around the world should know it...CNN must to be made a 3 hours long special about "bush the hero that killed the monster"... bot none of that happened... so its simply a lie.

If he did die this way it would be the best way for him to go for the west, because the fanatics wouldn't be able to blame us for it.
 
Doesn't really matter any more, does it? Every time we lose sight of one of these guys, someone else suddenly becomes the major threat. To me, Bin Laden = 1984's Emmanuel Goldstein at this point. (Well, aside from the "wanting to save and help everyone" bit.)

The fact is, as long as "our intelligence" indicates that there's a single terrorist left over there with anything more threatening than a pissy letter to the editor, we've got an excuse to be there, protecting our nation from such dire peril.

(Which, I guess, is just a more cynical way of echoing what Carib said... )
 
i think it's possible the death might have been kept quiet to use at a later date (elections or somesuch event). still, doesnt matter much 'in the real world' if he's dead or not (but might affect the mindless hordes anyway)...
