The post-apocalyptic RPG Bourgeoisie has updated it's website. They have created a FAQ, which people can add to in this thread. They also have plenty of new artwork to display. A few examples, check out their website and gallery to see all of the new artwork.

They also wish to point out that anyone can send the fan-art which may be used by them, such art should be sent to intoxicate@interia.pl.

The Bourgeoisie team would also like to announce that they will be attending FALKON (a Polish convention) in Lublin from the 19th to the 21st of November. They will present on numerous aspects of their game world, artwork from the game, and screenshots from the tech-demo.

Thank you, Intoxicate.

the weapon models pic link is

so aint going to see it unless you remove jpg from the start :P

Bah! Give me a break. My internet connection is acting up, about two thirds of the time, when trying to load a new page on the NMA forums, I get "Cannot find server." Try to preview and work out a news post perfectly under those conditions.

The weapons roster is pretty impressive. Though, did they REALLY need to include almost every MP5 derivative created?

Only one out of two images as well.

about Falkon:
one of our guy will write article about that - we will translate it to eng, so you will be able to read it. (and ofcourse see the new techdemo screens ;) )

Is that a H&K G11 I see in there? Mmmmmmm. I can't wait for the tech demo screens. This project looks to be one of the most beautifully crafted, thought out, in depth PARPG yet. With the utter collapse of Van Buren, this may well be the game we can start anticipating. Intoxicate, I wish you all the best of luck in your project development!

I must commend the modelers on their work. From what I can see, the weapons are very accurate to the real weapons. Good job. :D Where are the Mauser 98 rifles though? You have to have those. Last forever and still kill you at 900 meters.

For anyone who cares, here's a list of the weapons I could identify. Most of it's from memory so please excuse any inaccuracies. I couldn't find a list on their site. :( The two lits correspond to the respective picture. Yeah, I'm bored.

doesn't it cost money to license weapons for a game?

Only if the gun manufacturer is interested in financial suicide, though it should seem otherwise. Requiring that people license use for the guns in various games is a point too small for them to really argue, especially when the person using the likeness could put different specs upon it and "comply" with trademark. Derivatives would be used, and there would go gun recognition of the CS and etc. crowds.

I will admit I'm ignorant whether it applies to movies. Video games are a bit of a non-issue to most, I believe, though there might be a case of a gun manufacturer that doesn't want to see its hardware in such a light. Riiiight. :D

I should think that for high profile movies, and perhaps high profile games now, gun manufacturers would be lining up to have the makers put their product on movie screens/TVs/monitors across the world.

Then again, it might work in a similar way to putting cars in racing games, or sports stars in sports games.

It might be worth contacting a few to find out though, I'm sure you guys don't want to be sued. :D

I like very much the graphics of game - especially those first engine pictures you showed with lil' polish fiats :D. That really touched my heart. The weaponry is simply awesome,, nothing to add, nice job, really.

But I feel not so good about those conceptual artworks. Those remind me of Doom3 and it is not good sign. Of course, I understand, half-mechanical creatures is cool and most people like them in the games and mostly I am the only one, minority, who doesnt like such stuff and mechs, but still - I am annoyed of those bio-mechanical monsters. Artwork is great, ideas - fresh, original, eye-candies, but I would be really pissed off seeing walking meat-tanks with integrated mechanical parts in the game. Its simply my opinion.

This is why the beloved Goldeneye of many console gamers had real weapons in it but with different, yet similar, names. If I were a firearms manufacturer, I wouldn't mind my designs being used in a game. Of course, if it's intentionally in a bad light, that would be the same as using any other thing in a bad way, simply for your own gain and no appreciation of said thing.

Of course we don't :)
But the thing is that many people like to see real guns in computer games. We like them. And as far sa we're concerned the "legal rights" thing will the publisher's problem (they will settle it out).
If the publisher won't reach an argument with the manufacturers then we'll just name the guns a bit differently (not AK-47 but "AK47" or just "Kalasznikov").
