So, I've tried to give one of my talking heads a test voice, to see how the lip animations are working (I took one of lynettes lines for that). But now I got a problem, which I thought wouldn't happen at all... it doesn't work, the talking head will not talk.
This is how I am doing it right now:
1. I have new talking head animations. Let's call them TESTx, for x we have the animations... gf1, gf2, gf3, gp, gn, etc. This is clear. (Talking head works ingame)
2. Now I created the folders sound\speech\TEST
3. In this TEST folder, I've placed one of Lynettes dialog lines- a txt, acm and lip file. (LYN010.*)
4. Now, in my npc dialog file, I've added this line:
{150}{lyn010}{}{Bla bla bla!}
If I save this now, open up the game (or mapper, doesn't matter) and go to that dialog line, the NPC keeps silence.
This whole procedure always looked so simple. Is there anything that I forgot or overlooked?
/Edit: Now I realized, that there are references for the talking head in the lip file. I've ninja edited one obvious file name in the lip file and now ingame the sound is played, but the animation not. So I'll guess to test the shit now, I have to convert some acm file to wav, to create a new lip file from the wav... bleh.
