Bubba-Ho Tep

Yep.

Enjoyed it throughly. Really cheesy, campy, and funny, but in a good way.

Ossie Davis is great as JFK.

It's not just you...

Saw the trailer in the movies a few weeks ago. Might be as moronic and as fun to laugh at as Van Helsing.

Or Troy, for that matter

Is it just me, or the last noob wave is exceptionally moronic?

I am "Teh Pwnter of Noobs" so let me handle them!

Noobs, from this day forth beware of this evil clown, for I will eat your babies!

Begone!

Mohrg

I really wanted to see that movie, it came out in a small, independent theater around here. Unfortunately, I never was able to make it for a showing.

Have to rent it now, looks fantastic, in a campy way.

The humor is pretty low key but it's a very enjoyable movie. Ossie Davis really stole the show in the scenes he was in, and Bruce Campbell is great as always. Definitely worth a rental.

Troy and Van Terriblemovie were supposed to be cool, hip, legitamate (?) movies. Bubba Ho-Tep, on the other hand, was meant to be campy, corny, and ridiculous. Where one film fails, another thrives!

And speaking of campy, corny movies, watch the Sleepaway Camp trilogy...wow

My wife and I saw it this week. We also saw Girl with the Pearl Earring (hey when you're married you got to deal with chick flicks sometimes, ok).

Bubba Hotep- I thought it could have been better. Fun and low budget, but still, it lacked. Ossie Davis stole the show for me.

But it kicked ass on Girl with the Pearl Earring. What a snoozer. I mean some chick flics aren't so bad. Love Actually was quite enjoyable actually. But this flick sucked.

Showing that a good 'B' movie can easily kick ass on a critically acclaimed, 'A' movie.

Damnit Welsh!

Girl with the Pearl Earring had awesome images!

Um. Yeah, it was indeed too sentimental and cheesy at times, but the shots, the costumes, and the choice of actors (especially t3h evil grannie) were great.
Doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to see Bubba-ho tep, tho'.

*grumbles*

Man, I have yet to see it. It's probably cheesy as hell, but, it has Bruce Campbell in it, and he always manages to take something cheesy and make it funny as hell. Plus, the concept is just so dumb, it has to be funny...
