Some observations between the differences in conventional weapons and energy weapons. This is in CTB mode.
1. Bullets, whether single or burst can hit ppl in the path of fire. Energy weapons cannot. That way u can't hit your own ppl with energy weapons.
2. Bullets, when missed the target, the target makes a miss animation. Energy shots just fly elsewhere.
3. If u are not in the path of bullets they can't hit u. ie. run across a doorway, the enemy inside shoots u, but miss as u have already passed the doorway. This will take up his AP and u can run infront of the doorway and shoot him back.
E E shoots E miss E
_____ _____ ____ ____ ____ _____ ____ ____
U> U> U U shoots
This even works out in the open, just run fast and far across his field of vision. The enemy would shoot at the area where u were. I used this tactic on mutants and killed off a bunch of them with only Stein with a SAW, he didn't even get hit.
Energy weapons, when it is a hit, will always hit no matter how u dodge. ie. when u are running away, the shot will be shown as hitting the area when u were when the shot was first but u still get hit. (Unless the shot is blocked by a wall or something not confirmed)
Well thats what I observed, maybe I'm wrong.
