Can you pick the lock in the lost hills bunker?

First time out of the vault
I was wondering, they kicked me out because I asked for caps in order to investigate the super mutants :lol: :lol: :lol:. What skill level do you need?.( I already killed the guards at the entrance, so now I want to wipe out the brotherhood and collect a power armor).
 
I dunno about skill level, but if you work with the circle of thieves you can get an electronic lockpick and that'll certainly help (though you do not by any means need it.)
 
There's a -70 modifier without the ELP and -50 with it, so you need more than 50 or 70, respectively.
