I joined so I could ask for help here. I'm out of ideas. So I was having a blast with Fallout 2 (which I downloaded through Steam). Today I saw there was a restoration project, and it looked really neat; so, I decided to download it. At first it worked well. The resolution was nice, everything worked, but the screen was a little small. Unfortunately, I turn the rez too low by accident, and was forced to uninstall Fallout 2. First however, I copied the save files in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout2\DATA\SAVEGAME". When I reinstalled it, I found, to my dismay, that I could not load my game, despite the save files still being there and recopied. I do not understand why it cannot access the files. The game itself works fine and I am able to start a new game with no problem. But I simply can't access these files. I'm met with the following error:
The instruction at 004f11db
referenced memory at 00000010
The memory could not be read from.
If anybody knows why this is, or how I could fix it, I would be very much appreciated. I'm at the end of my rope here. Thanks.
