Car 54, where are you?

I tried to do one of those *real* runs through FO1 awhile back. You know, resting at night, not stealing from shelves, not running everywhere, etc. I kept each of my party members carry a radio, and this gave me what I think is kind of a good idea, although it could use some tweaking. I think that you should be able to communicate with your party members over the radio, if they have one. You know, like, maybe call up Ian junior or whatever and say "come here", or "wait there", or whatever else. And, if not in your party, but within range, perhaps you could call them up and tell them to rendezvous with you somewhere.

I'm sure there are scores of other possibilities, too...

Since when have you ever depended on the computer AI to think smart on its own? It's bad enough the NPCs choose to target enemies *behind* other NPCs with a chaingun and now you expect then to fend for themselves and make it to a destination point? Before adding that option, they have better make the AI a lot smarter.

Sounds good to me. I'm all for an A.I. improvement :-)

A combination AI of Tactics and the original Fallout series could work.

Btw, does a real run include lugging around a ton of jerky, fruit, and iguanas-on-stick? And a crate of alcohol as well.

Which AI of Tactics?

The promised one or the limping 'technical demo' one?

Ok a lot of these sort of ideas will be implemented into Fallout P & P but as it says in my rulebook "computers are limited to their programing, however a good brained GM can implement it into the game."

It would take the programmers too long to write it into the game. i'm sure it could be done if they tried for long enough. Well that's my point. If you ever download by rules of P & P off of this sire when they're done you can be sure to find things like this in them. But not the actual computer game. It will be kept much more simple i'm sure.

It's only cheating if you get caught
