Cassidy Wearing Armor (Killap + B-Team Mods)

TheBadDoctor

First time out of the vault
Hello there, mutated rabble. I was hoping to ask you glittering gems of hatred for a small favor:

I've recently installed the 1.1 version of Killap's Restoration Project, and also included the optional mods (minus the restored children, since I was running a U.S. version). Now, my problem is this:

While Sulik, Vic, Myron, et al, show off their shiny new duds whenever I force them to, Cassidy is sadly stuck with his faded, scarred leather armor - even when his combat control screen says otherwise, such as say, I don't know, Power Armor.

Could this be a conflict between the Cassidy talking head mod? I've installed that one as well. I can't seem to find anything in other threads regarding this problem.

Other than this particular gripe, the Restoration Project is perhaps the most amazing thing to happen to the Fallout series in quite some time.

The EPA especially was excellently done, and it was the first time in a very long time I had no idea what to do. I've played through the game so many times that everything has become rote, memorized, and the new sections were incredible. Restored my confidence in the series and my obsession with the game.

Now that I've thoroughly kissed some collective ass, perhaps someone could help me with the issue? More details will be provided if asked for.

Yes reinstall without Cassidy talking head...

I'm late to class, so I will hopefully merge this thread into the 1.1 thread later when I get the chance/remember.

Yes, there was a conflict in the installer regarding the cassidy head and b-team mod. However, if you regrab the 1.1 installer from my site (I had silently updated it recently) this issue no longer exists and you can have both the b-team mod and the cassidy static head.

Got the same problem. Would you have to restart the campaign?
No. However, like I mentioned in the 1.1 thread, I changed how the Vault Village questline is handled, so you will notice some oddities here if you already did it or are in the process of doing it.

Well, unfortunately, after downloading the latest version and reinstalling, the issue still remained.

However, upon installing WITHOUT the Cassidy talking head mod, it worked.

It seems that Cassidy will either show his face or his armor for me, but not both.

Oh well, he'd have a helmet on in APA anyway.

But that talking head seemed just so damn friendly, like a shotgun-toting grandpa.

You got the one from the 1.1 thread, yes, and not the one from NMA? How about uninstalling the mod (don't worry you won't lose the save games) and then reinstalling with the installer.

I had the same problem the first time. I had the latest "unofficial" patch installed, WITH the talking head and armor appearances for all accept Cassidy. After installing the NPC appearances mod I have both a talking head AND a Cassidy in purple robes ;)

Oh by the way hey everbody I'm new.

I must be the unluckiest guy in all the wasteland. Mr. Fungus-Testes in Vault 13's got nothing on me.

After uninstalling, reinstalling, manually installing the B-Team mod, I'm still experiencing the problem.

At this point, it's more an aesthetic issue than anything else, and I'm more than willing to live with it.

Thank you all anyway!

EDIT:

Well, this time it mysteriously worked. No explanation as to why it did now, or why it did not before, but... yay?
