Jona was kind enough to send me his latest MAC mods, well they're mods converted to the MAC version of Fallout 2. This time around he's made these two mods available:

Good stuff Jona! The MACers should be glad to see these two mods...
Next up is a image of the real life Cat's Paw magazine, which Neal was kind enough to grab for us:

Nice to see the real deal..

Really lame way to join the forums, but...

I know this is a really lame first post ever, but the Cat's Paw image appears to be a wrapper or box for a pair of rubber heels made in Canada of all places (rather than an issue focusing on rubber heels as I initially thought at first glance).

Anyway, the image is still super cool. Thanks for all the good work you do!

Yupp. Definitely a box rather than a magazine.

Interestingly enough it looks exactly the same way as the Cat's Paw magazine in the game (which appears to be a resized version of the same pic).

Maybe it's a magazine about rubber heels and other kinky rubber articles of apparel ;)

Maybe its a special collector's edition of the Cat's Paw magazine?

Regardless, its very good. I only hope i can one day produce artwork like this.

I would agree with this :) Diffinitly a box for rubber heels, back when thay use to re-sole shoes

A word to "my" Mods....

These are the last ones I will release for the Mac (Is there a sign of relieve ;-))) )
That means, as long as there are no new big mods coming which have all the files from the patch000.dat missing....
(Remember there is no FAME for Mac....)

All the others are either campatible as they are or they are not convertable (at least not from me....). The latter are all the .sav ones....

I found a minor glitch in my Jonamod (Yes, I make errors, too!):

In the "Proto" Folder delete the entries 00000163.pro and 00000164.pro - Thanks!
I wont do another upload for this.....

Greetings
Jona

I can just delete that file from the zip file, will fix it later.. Oh and the description for the jona mod isn't in the zip file..I've searched and searched for it..

Hi!

Thanks Odin! But - I forgot to say: You should delete the Files from proto/critters ! (These are the base files for Miria and Davin btw....)

And I didnt include a readme ? I will check that!
Would be the first time, I should have forgotten them - shame!
Perhaps I put them in the wrong folder .....

Edit: Of course there is a readme called "100readme.txt"
Perhaps it doesnt conform to what you expected, but itts there!

Greetings
Jona

PS: Famous last words: "Where did I put my brain last night" - Brainbot ;-)))

Come to think of it, I don't think the item is ever identified in Fo1, it's just something mysterious you pick up in Junktown along with the noodles and frozen dinner. So it's entirely possible whoever changed it for Fo2 wasn't aware of the item's true nature and origin and had just assumed (like most people, I would guess) that it's a magazine instead of a very small box.

The items in the second link make me think of Arcanum.

The description in FO2 reads "Cat's Paw Magazine". The same lines in FO1 read:
{22500}{}{You Have No Idea}
{22501}{}{Upon further inspection, you still have no idea what this is.}

My guess is some FO1 dev team artist put it in and someone in FO2's dev team thought it was a magazine.

Seems very likely... this could be a nice entry in the bible.

Did CA say when he left BIS that he wouldn't be busying himself any more with the Bible? Or did he just sort of fade away? Anyone in email contact with him?

Well it kinda goes without saying tho, MCA won't be working on the Bible anymore. He's busy as hell right now, working on Kotor2 AFAIR..
