CD error with Fallout collection... STILL!

Hi guys. I've had trouble with this from the word go with no results whatsoever! No doubt anyone reading this will know of the issue of which I speak. I've tried several 'No_CD' patches, each of which says "That patch doesn't work, try this one." I've been on several forums and all advice, tips and what not has given me no results at all! Can someone, ANYONE, point me in the direction for a GUARANTEED fix for this issue? I played Tactics years ago when it first came out, loved it but never finished it. I've just injured myself at work and have the next week off and would love to get stuck into Tactics again! PLEASE HELP!!!
 
Hi! i am NMA's Fallout Tactics Help & Tech expert, i have seen and dealt with problems of this nature before its some times a problem with the copy of the game on the CD.
Lets begin, the following questions are extremely important to finding a solution for your problem:
  1. What version of Windows do you have?
  2. Is there any Error codes or popup windows?
  3. Can you please make a video of your problem or possibly take a few screen shots? Here is a free excellent screenshot plus screen recorder program that you can download here.
  4. Where is your game installed? The normal install location for the Fallout Collections Fallout Tactics is "C:\Program Files\Interplay\Fallout Tactics" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Interplay\Fallout Tactics".

I know for a fact that the Fallout Collections version of Tactics does not require any CD cracks, all games in the Fallout Collection runs without the CD.

Nothing is guaranteed but i might be able to help you. ;) I can even get you a free full version of Fallout Tactics if need be.
 
System info.jpg Hey Rob, I just took a screen shot of my basic system info, hope this provides you with what you need. The only message that appears is the in-game message saying 'Please insert a Fallout Tactics CD.'
FOT error.jpg If I click OK it just says 'Wrong disc inserted.' If I click cancel it takes me back to Windows. My game is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\14 Degrees East\Fallout Tactics. This is the default directory from installation. I hope this has been helpful, let me know if you need more info. Cheers!
 
Thanks Jak the information you have given me ☑ checks out, but Windows 7 has been known to be incompatible with Tactics and a few older games you can try running it under a different OS version by flowing these instructions.
I also PM you a link to a copy of Tactics that has been modified to work on Windows 7, make sure your copy is uninstalled first before installing the new copy. (Its not required but it is recommended!)
