Champion karma title, what kills should count toward it?

I've noticed that in Fallout 1 there are some interesting creatures labelled as "Bad Guys" for the purposes of getting the Champion reputation title. For example: Rad Rats, Radscorpions, pretty much any kind of Super Mutant, ghouls in Necropolis Vault, Deathclaws, Manti, many other kinds of Ghouls, Floaters, Centaurs, and the robed technicians near the Vats Control Computer that kill themselves once the bomb is armed.

I always figured this reputation was earned based purely on what evil humans you had killed. But actually it's that, plus all these other creatures.

Based on the list above, unless you get Childkiller or Berserker (because those disqualify you) the Champion title should eventually be received by almost literally every other character. Because almost all of those creatures show up in random encounters, which characters will see a lot of before they beat the game. So, yeah, that's really stupid.

Which ones you think should actually count towards Champion?:
Rad Rats -
Radscorpions -
Super Mutants, hostile -
Super Mutants, non-hostile (like ones at Watershed) -
Ghouls, hostile (zombies etc) -
Ghouls, non-hostile -
Floaters -
Centaurs -
Children of the Cathedral members (most of these are flagged as Bad Guys) -
Manti (Mantis) -
Deathclaws -

Radscorpions, because they are a real threat to one of the towns (Shady Sands);
Super Mutants, both hostile and non-hostile, because in FO1 they are a threat to everyone, even if not currently hostile;
Ghouls, only hostile;
Floaters and Centaurs;
CoC, same reason as mutants;
Deathclaws.
My criteria is how much it helps the "good guys".

Oppen would you count all radscorpions from random encounters, or just the radscorpions in the Radscorpion Caves?

Well, radscorps are a danger to wastelanders in general.
Yeah but are they Evil and would anyone killing them be a Champion Of The People :P

If possible, only the ones in the Radscorpion Caves, but I assumed this kind of setting was global and that you couldn't count only those ones :P

Oh sure I can do that, I can change whatever I want because I'm a sorcerer of code :monocle: :smug:

Radscorpions are gigantic. Killing them would help the people.

Think about it:

A regular scorpion is a small insect thing that freaks people out. A 6 foot long sucker would have people shitting themselves. A deadly adversary if there was one, especially to a regular waster.

Mantii on the other hand can probably be "neutral".

Same with rats and pig rats. The gigantic rats are man-eaters though.

mobucks I think that makes sense.

Manti are pretty badass actually since they have multiple attacks and come in big groups, but they're not a scourge or anything and they only show up on coast encounters and caravan encounters.

So here's a in-progress ratings:

cave rats / rad rats / pig rats - No
Ghouls, non-hostile - No
Manti (Mantis) - No

Molerats - Yes
Radscorpions - Yes, maybe with conditions
Super Mutants, ALL - Yes
Ghouls, hostile (zombies, glowing ones, etc) - Yes
Floaters - Yes
Centaurs - Yes
Children of the Cathedral - Yes
Deathclaws - Yes

Have I missed anything that's potentially "Evil"?

I think it could be argued that only the CoC members who were either in on the plan at some level or who were already inclined to evil/general assholery should count. Jain and her guard (plus possibly the Hub site doc), Father Lasher, Ton, any "child with an attitude," anyone in the subterranean levels of the cathedral or base, and anyone above level 1 of the cathedral. Possibly, the shifty CoC clinicians at the watershed, Dr Wu, and the cathedral gift shop attendant. All the rest are just dupes, and in their own minds and those of most wastelanders they're just kooky peacenik cultists trying to spread a creepy message of love.
