Characters and abilities:
Choose Human, Super Mutant or even Birth mutant (remember what Marcus said in new Reno, or the psionics in the masters cathedral?)
Human: basic Character generation
Super Mutant: double stats such as allocate 10 Ch points instead of 5 or choose 4 tags or perks instead of 3 or 2 respectively
Birth mutant: new trait Psychic/psionic
an extra screen opens up to allow points to be allocated to extra skills, note these would depend on your intelligence and whatever trait each skill needs...
Ideas: nothing fancy needs to be used just some cool traits that would enhance the feel of a new world
Mind trick: seen Star wars? Useable in dialogue to try and get past guards depends on Luck and Charisma
Insanity: make your enemy attack himself and friends by driving him mad, Option could be in Skilldex
Soul drain: evil skill useable to swallow the minds of you victims, gain EXP from it and 1/3rd their skills
New perks…
Gain a special perk for every specialized stat
E.G. a high Guns/Sneak stat combo could open up a Sniper perk or a High unarmed/Agility/Sneak stat could open up a Ninja Ability allowing greater stealth and deadlier attacks
Skill practice… improves skills by performing them often. Not to replace EXP but to allow a more versatile Character development… explained underneath
say you favoured fighting your way through... your stats could alter to match your style
E.G. 10 str, 3 Charisma etc could alter to 7 Str, 6 Charisma if you started to neglect your physical side and paid more attention to your Mental abilities and Vice versa
Or if you were to rely on luck by taking more risks you Luck could increase in proportion to your intelligence (dumb luck?)
