childpatch again again

So, guys, remind me, how do I actually install the childpatch, me not being much of a computer wiz kid? Help much appreciated!

From what I remember you have to unzip the childpatch in your fallout2/critters directory using winzip. After that install the US 1.02 patch.
 
uh, no...

I posted lotsa questions about that prob before on the F2 board. What I got from the replies:
1st reinstall game and delete savegames
Download US patch
THEN download childrenpatch & unzip in f2/critters.

(Forgive me if I'm wrong too).

I'm pretty sure you don't have to delete your savegames. I never did.
