So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
Orderite
Just watched this today, and I must say, it was actually fairly decent. It also has a great sense of art direction, and a bit of a "Fallout" feel, which was cool.

I'm going to buy the book tomorrow, and hope that it's as good as the film was.

Interesting. The reviews I've seen have been pretty tepid, but that doesn't mean it's no good. I'm inclined to dislike any movie with kids as the heroes, but then again Bill Murray is in it, so I might give it a shot.

I watched the movie yesterday. While it felt a bit like a movie for kids it had some great moments. Some things imho are very falloutish. There are 4 books in the series, one prequel and two sequels to the city of ember. Anyone read them? Any good?

When I first saw the trailer in theaters, I at first thought that they were actually making a Fallout movie and it was going to be awesome. Then, I realized it wasn't a Fallout movie. But, it does look good.

well, isn't it?

i saw a few pictures of it and it looked to me like a "coming of age" flick for teens.

nice decor though.

Well, yeah but before Ive seen the film, I had no idea what it is about. Im kinda suprised that such great post apo story was made into a teen movie :?

Yea, the movie shot itself in the foot by being a kids movie in a direction where it probably had more potential as an adult film. And it performed at the box office accordingly.

Oh, btw: they wanted to film a sequel but due to poor box office performance they might not film a sequel.

That's too bad. I'm sure the marketing geniuses who made that decision will find someone else to pin the blame on.

It's odd that Wall-E was also a post-apoc story for kids. And Wall-E also would've been better had it been more adult oriented.
