First time out of the vault
Im guessing/hoping this is only a mistake made by the article writer and not based on any firsthand info.

"At the age of 16, you take an aptitude test which gives bonuses to attributes you seem best fit for and recommends a class for you."

Class? Class?!
Since when does SPECIAL have ready packages/classes?
IF there is classes i hope its like the premade chars in FO1/2 and not somthing that forces you into a specific path...

Oooh!
Didnt think about that. Then i want to be a soldier and be able to rocketjump with my fatman.
I mean we got handheld nukes. Rocketjumping isnt that far behind...

Seems to be a very stupid interpretation of the Game INformer article. Of course, they don't actually note any source for their news, and file it under Playstation News.
I wouldn't take this seriously.

File it under the barely coherent ramblings of some poor slob who found the Game Informer article outside his metal grasp. Like Sander said. From what I can gather, he has misunderstood much of the article, and relayed that mental confusion as fact.

I don't think they'll step away from the SPECIAL system and introduce classes.. unless they want us to loathe them even more.

I wouldn't mind seeing additional perks being gained for doing various tasks (eg pornstar, champion boxer etc)

Classes would be a terrible idea. I don't really think Bethesda would try that. They might try and create premade characters like Fallout 1 and 2 had, but if they tried to create a system similar to Mass Effect, it just wouldn't work.

Would sure love to make a character at my taste in appearence and stuff, but probably This is what i wanted
Repair+Science-Mechanics
So in this case i wanted to be an engineer, study science to know the fuctions of the machine and program it and built it with repair

I dooooo believe that it has already been stated that there are no classes and is a special system to play the three main archetypes from the fallout franchise, stealth, combative, and smooth-talker.

Can't back that up though, I don't remember where i got it from.

<SlightlySarcastic> Hmmm... I wonder if "bimbo/jock", "sideshow attraction", "pro wrestler", "walking four leaf clover", "walking timebomb", "idiot", or "nerd" are some of the classes they'd considered, or whether they're limited to "sniper", "brawler", "diplomat", or "thief". </SlightlySarcastic>

In all seriousness, though... I really do hope it's nothing more than picking a premade character in the originals.

I mean, Bethesda isn't known for limiting characters to classes, and it would really be shocking for them to start now.
