clothing/armor condition damage modding question

Hi everyone, i'm working on a concept for an equipment functionality mod as relates to the durability of items, i.e. a business suit would likely be torn to shreds after an encounter with a ripper, whereas a suit of t51b would have some scratches in the metal plate. weapons have a similar functionality built in as an override, is there some way to create that functionality for things like hats and armors and such? any help would be greatly appreciated
 
I'm not sure what you're asking.

All of the different apparel/armors have their own Health levels already, so power armor will last a lot longer than a business suit.

Dirty Pre-War Businesswear: 100

Unless you mean using armor thresholds so weaker weapons can't penetrate certain armors?
