Hi,
anyone know a good pc game to co-op (online) with your buddies? No matter if it's build-in or an unofficial patch. Any type or genre, however I would kill for a cRPG-like ;]

At the moment I'm in the middle of my exams and I'm already preparing with my friends to have sth to play during the summer :D

Some games that meet the case (co-op) are already mentioned on the forum (yes, I've used the search button ;]) but I don't see anything bad in starting a new topic committed to that... topic ;]

Let me start:
Rune + co-op patch (should be on fileplanet)
Great TPP hack'n'slash in the one and only viking style with quite interesting story (what is unusual for those games) based on viking mythology. It's a bit old, although the graphics isn't so bad with really high screen resolution. It has my recommendation ;]
 
System Shock 2 has a co-op mod (comes with the patch).

My favorite is Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. Much fun was had with that game at LAN parties.

Swat4 is also great. Swat3 also has a co-op mod, but I've never tried it.
 
FREELANCER!

Play online on a good server like Jolt. Really cool stuff going on, hell you and your friends could start a pirate clan and fight for control of a star system. Dont expect anything to deep, but online trading, combat and diplomacy is very cool.
 
CS (or other pvp co-op games i suppose)
most rainbow 6 games rock
world of warcraft (or any mmo)
 
Freespace 2 has a kick ass co-op mode. Lan for sure, not sure about over net. I keep saying this, but one of my all time favourite games.

Exquisite missions, amazing atmosphere and still very decent graphics. As long as you have completed the campaign in single player then you can do the campaign co-op which is a lot of fun. Joystick not required, but definitely reccomended.

I've already mentioned SWAT4 but I'll do it again since I've started playing it again on the internets. If you find a decent crew who's into tactical teamwork it's really a blast.


Josh, TVD, and other guys who I remember like co-op, if you have/get SWAT4 PM me so we can play mebbe.
 
The Baldur's Gate series of games. Those games are my second favorite game, Fallout being the first of course.
 
SWAT 4 Co-op is muchos fun at LAN parties. Ghost Recon (ye olde one) is also ok, I guess. The Serious Sam series are fun aswell. Haven't tried Raven Shield other than in sp, so I wouldn't know about that. Sven-coop for HL1 is great fun to play with a decent map. Yeah.

:shock: I can't belive you, but then again, I don't know much about Co-op, and it's fun factors. But I am still surprised.
About Fallout Tactics, I heard that someone made a mod that could be played co-op, it might be fun.
 
Suprisingly so. Much fun too. One guy a basher, the other a hacker/psi, Where are my little ones? heard in the hallways, shared pants soiling, etc. 'Tis a blast.

Which is about the only way FoT might be enjoyable. My roommate and I have both looked for that mod, I've never found it. If anyone can point it out to me, I'd be very grateful.
 
Check the FOT modding forum, still a wip.

What about Hidden & Dangerous 1 & 2?

IIRC multiplayer for H&D 1 was just co-op, plus you can download it for free all above board and legal.
