Command line Dat Packer/Unpacker

Hi Guys,

I need a command line utility that will unpack and Pack Dat files, or 2 separate utilities that each perform one of these operations. I cant seem to find a Command line Dat Packer?

Any ideas where I can get one?

You can make a patch of your own. Download F2PAT.ZIP from the same site.

F2re by Borg Locutus has the above statement in its readme file, but I can find F2PAT.zip anywhere.

Just wondering why you need a command line packer... If you use the directory structure correctly you'll only need to make the patch file once: to build your own patch000.dat for you mod... (unless you're planning on working with "mod controller" programs of course in which case the name doesn't matter).

I was thinking of making an installer batch file that would do the following:

1) Unpack the original Patch001.dat
2) Over write the extracted files with the new files from a mod
3) Pack the updated files into the Patch001.dat file.

It's just a different way of running a mod I suspose. I know I could just pack the mod straight into a new Patch001.dat file for distribution but that wouldn't be as much fun
