I have that mutant guy with a shotgun as my companion and he'd make a good companion if he didn't steal my XP. I noticed that if I don't do at least half damage on an enemy, then I won't get any XP for the kill. It happens when I let monsters fight and finish them off when they're injured and other instances too. I accepted it with the monsters, but if I can't get XP because of my companion, then that's the last straw.
I was wondering if there was a mod that changes how you get XP for kills. I'd prefer to get XP whenever I kill something regardless of how much damage I did and I think I should get it if my companion kills something as well. I've looked in Fallout Nexus but haven't found anything. I'm surprised I haven't read other complaints about it.
