But didn't tests with "nucular" weapons prove that rats survive the fallout without serious problems, like cockroaches and spiders?

The cancer comes from manipulation and selected breeding in laboratories, usually (which is why rats have a higher chance of growing cancer than most other species').
 
Judging by his size, I'd say he escaped from a McDonald's restaurant. Look how cute and round he is.

Last thing I remember about the eighties is rationed chocolate. Or rather chocolate-like stuff.

Also, I'd rather see some actual models by now....

So what is Polish Wasteland exactly? Is it a new title or a mod?

I can't read Polish, but judging from the examples on their website, they're borrowing a lot of their design ideas heavily from Fallout.

There's even a Polish Pipboy.
 
It was supposed to be a larga Fallout mod, set in a post-nuke socialist retro-future Poland, with all the benefits and legacy of Fallout.

Recently, the team absorbed the Shell-Pit project and decided they're going to make a full-blown game instead of a simple mod. Still, they retained their original Fallout inspiration.

It was in the news ;)
