Hiya people,
So the bottom line is this - most Fallout fans do not like FOT. IMO the Fallout name was just used to create hype and for a new game to sell more because it carries the name and as a result uses a reputation made by another game. I read something that went like this - instead of bringing tactics to Fallout they brought Fallout to tactics. I agree 100%. If they were to bring tactics to Fallout they would've given the project to Black Isle, the creators of FO1 and 2, because they know Fallout better than anyone else, and they made it great. Black Isle has a unique touch, and it makes FO1 and 2 unique and great. FOT IMO doesnt have that. Black Isle - Fallout. Microforte - Tactics. And you all know who's making FOT. All I can say is that I feel incredibly sorry for the Fallout name and reputation.

Most of the actual creators of the original Fallout and Fallout 2 no longer work for Black Isle. They're now working for Troika and their new CRPG, "Archanum", will be published by Sierra around the time FOT comes out.
 
Well, maybe Black-Isle is already busy working on FO3 ?
or maybe not...who knows..

what Im afraid of is that Interplay already has their hands full with Bull$h1t to wotk on FO3..or else they would have at least anounced it ..or maybe i dont know what the hell im talking about..:)

to remind you, this is an open poll, meaning - ANYONE can participate in it, and some can participate twice.
there are about 1700 reigstered users in this site, how many of them you think - PARTICIPATE alot in the forums, or EVER participated?

So - don't rely on this ridiculous poll, which is just meant for either entertainment, or encouraging interactivity.


By the way FEDOR - i was the guy who said that fallout was brought to tactics, and not the other way around :)

Considering this is a Fallout fan site, one of the big Fallout fan sites, and only 50% of the people say they like it.. I think that gives more credit to the fact it's not a good game than it is a good game.


I wouldn't go citing that only half the people who participate in the pole as proof of anything, if I were Morphix.

Plus if u take in account the number of ppl active at this time, I wouldnt say about a few hundred compared to 1700.

And ppl who take part in the poll wants to know how many ppl agree with them so I think it gives a pretty much overrall idea on the liking of this game.

Even so, ppl who liked it may have their concerns about this game. But I would agree that fallout is being brought to tacties.

well Klayhamn, thats one heck of an accurate and kick-ass comment... And as for Morphix, if he didnt want to agrue why is he? and besides, his points arent valid... I think that more people participate in that poll that liked the game rather than disliked 'cause they want to express how they feel. (And of course not necessarily do FO fans take part in the forum but people new to FO that now like it cause its been turned into some BG or something.
And Saint Proverbius, at least FO guys are working for Troika, which sounds like it is Russian. I say that cause i'm Russian, but a lot of Russian company games are good indeed and I also think that Sierra is a great game company. So well i'll check out the web site. OK, not i have checked it out. Seems cool, and considering who is making it ill definitely check it out when it comes out... I hope they dont make TB an afterthought... It is sad that the people that made FO great arent making FO3. My hopes just got weaker. I didnt find any info on this but is there a demo for it? oh well whatever im getting too off-topic! I will add anyway that Leonard Boyarsky sounds Russian too...

I think most of them voted. See the I hate it votes. But I think they prefer to voice their unhappiness using words over a simple vote. I agree with them sometimes that things have to change in the final release.
