First time out of the vault
For many years the simple Computer has been downed upon for not having multiplayer Hookup. Then the Internet came and that all changed. Since then multiplayer don't work so well when you have people over at a party and they didn't bring their 40lb computer. Why hasn't anyone tried to hook up multiple mouse, Keyboard, and gamepads. I just don't see the point in having a $1000 computer and a $400 console setup, It is not logical. If there were a console style mohaa that you could hook up 4 people to on one computer instead of an xbox or PS2. This is coming from a person that wants to save money and not give it out the ass.

What kind of crap computer are you talking about that is only 1 grand? Mine (including my new speaker setup) was $3730, and you dont see me bitching about it.

Clearly you have not thought this through. A computer is NOT a console. It was never meant to have multiple mice and keyboards (who the fuck uses a gamepad on a computer?).How much fun would split screen be with 4 people on a computer monitor?

Comparing a computer to a console is not logical. But after hearing you whine that you cant hook multiple mice, and keyboards to a computer and have a bunch of people huddled around your monitor with keyboards and mice in their laps, I think your logic is pretty twisted.

Consoles are purely for gaming, so of course they are going to have multiple controller slots. Who would buy a console with only one? Computers are not used purely for gaming as consoles are. If you want to save money soo much, then please, unplug your internet now and go play your mindless console shooters. Just forget the computer was ever invented.
 
I hear the plan with the PS3 is when you buy their HD addon (doesnt come with the default system, as usual) - it comes with an installation of Linux for the PS3, but that is just rumor.

It comes with Microsoft Windows.

I wouldn't be suprised if the PS3 comes with some kind of GUI/OS built in to allow internet access. I assume that the XBOX-360 will have some flavor of windows?

Sorry if I'm not up-to-date on console news.
