First time out of the vault

Hello,
I'm replaying Fo:T, and I've rediscovered the crawl-into-vehicle bug!
In searching the forum, the only solution I found suggested was a) don't do it or b) use BOSCHE.
I tried BOSCHE, but it seems to pick up the top actor on the save map's loading list (almost always a random NPC), and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to cycle NPCs.
So with that in mind, does anyone know how to fix this?
Its not the end of the world if I go on with it, but I'd rather have the investment I put in my squad's melee capabilities be useful.
EDIT: I found a different editor that can be used to fix this properly.
