big guns and custom missions / campaighns

errrrr i'm on the 3rd mission rock falls and i've only got a pair of cruddy ak's amd some assorted smg's and shotty's when do i get the big freakin gunsssssssssssss i love doing sylvester stalone number with miniguns uhhhhhhhhhh (brrrrrrrrrr urrrgggg) oh yeah and i saw some threads about miniguns on this page one asking whys it called a minigun and could u carry one if its so heavy. I mean duhhhhhh if u dont know anything about guns then dont post back cretins their all like well a minigun does weigh about 80 pounds what they fail to mention is the general electric minigun expends nearly 55,000 rounds a minute it requires a truck to carry more than 5 seconds ammo on its highest setinng. and a human could certainly not carry enough ammo to effectivly use it in combat (agree anyone????)

oh and in the fot manual it says i should be able to get custom missions and campaighns under single player and haven't seen them in the menue and what do they do????

There are a couple of options. First, you can wait until you get into the mutant missions, and then will pick up more SAWs than you know what to do with. Second, if any of your characters has a good steal skill, General Barnakey has an Avenger Minigun on him. Third, if you have decent luck and a good outdoorsman, you can run around the wasteland and encounter the Trader or Merchant, you can pick up some pretty nice stuff. I encountered Trader, Merchant, Farmer, and Hermit before my second mission, and went after Raiders in Environmental Armor with a FN FAL, with my team backing me up with Pancor Jackhammers. Fun...

LOL, just to say ur moaning about not getting big guns on ur 3rd mission, just relax and chill, ull get em (although by the time this is posted u have probaly finished the game)

I've searched the whole message board and only found one question about these particular aspects of the game but to my surprise there was no reply... If anyone knows, please give me the low-down on these as to what they are and how to get them to work. All I get is a black screen on missions and nothing for campaigns. Thanx!
 
First, patch to 1.27. Then, go to Duck & Cover (http://www.rpgplanet.com/fallout) and look in the maps section, then open single player missions. Download, unzip, and enjoy. click on custom missions, open the mission your want to play, and get started. If there are any special files you need to place, it should say so in the readme. Then it should work. Those are custom missions. FOT is also capable of supporting custom champaigns, whole sets of custom missions with there own maps, characters, and plots. I know of a few in progress, but no finished ones yet. If anyone knows of a finished one (well, a GOOD finished one), please let me know.

Custom Missions & Campaigns

I am sure you ppl have heard the question over and over again, but on my computer the custom missions, just do not work, i don't even have a chance to choose characters. I have read a couple of posts about this but i haven't actually read any answers, so could someone please help a desperate person.

Custom FOT campaigns?

Are there any FOT campaigns with a story and a couple of levels or so to it? With a map landscape and such..? Ive been having trouble finding one, if there are any.. Post some links if there plz.

The only campaign is the Rebellion series by Max-Violence. But there are plenty of great missions out there too. Download them all here and it will keep you occupied for many weeks.
