DAC Forums Returned 100%...Kind of.

The forums for DAC are back in full swing. So anyone who feels the need, go check them out...Again. Basically the same as before, except only about 4 people have posted anything in the last 2 weeks (myself included).

Just letting everyone know it's back...In case anyone was unaware.

Atoga has a thread in The Trash Can (AKA Suggestions) to post suggestions on appealing to the next generation of DACers. Give him some opinions and suggestions. Real suggestions..Not flames against DAC.

Part of that might be that people are having trouble logging in - it either gets redirected to duckandcover.net, which doesn't exist, or it just gives an error message.
 
The actual website has yet to be updated. All the links go to duckandcover.net content. I don't know when this will be fixed as I'm not really a very important person there. I think they might do a total overhaul. It's much needed.
 
So thevats.net is going to be the permnament addy from now on?

What does DaC plan on providing to the public in order to maintain the current/older members and attracting newer ones?

Is the Wastelands coming back?
 
I've got The Wastelands on my forums. We've all sort of lost interest in it, though. I pitched it to DAC a while back, but not many people showed up, and the ones that did didn't post anything.

So if you want a Wastelands style un-moderated spam-fest, just hit my forums.

I would actually like to see Wastelands brought back to DAC. Who cares about spamming if it keeps people coming back. There were definately more posters there when the Wasteland was there.
 
Yeah, but it also had a helping hand in killing it just as well when the spam and flames started overflowing into everything else.

Just gotta figure out how to balance the good with the bad.
 
I think I covered adequately what DAC needs in Atoga's post: Content. People are attracted to NMA because NMA is more than just a forum. They have a useful front page. DAC is pretty useless as a webpage anymore.

There are tons of mods out there, tons of information, tons of fan-pics..Tons of everything that could breath life back into DAC, but for some reason everyone concentrates on "better news" instead of "better website."

People can come there for news, but NMA has the same things, plus more things that DAC refuses to cover for some rediculous reasons. In addition to the news, NMA has stuff. Actual stuff.
 
What worries me is that a few of the Fallout community sites seem to be dieing off. DAC might be slow but there are others that are getting almost no traffic.
