First time out of the vault
[spoiler:19fd72558e]The whole thing with Nicole being dead the whole time confuses me a little bit. At first I thought she was dead because before you see her in person for the first time she was popping up on monitors saying cryptic shit. Which I later thought might only be related to the mass hallucinations mentioned throughout the game.
The part that confuses me is where you have to defend her while she unlocks the door to the SOS beacon. Why would the Marker make you hallucinate about her in this area? The Marker itself seems to have no physical influence in the real word, which is why it needs you to bring the shuttle back etcetera. So, how did it unlock the door to the beacon?
Did it only make Isaac think it was locked? Why would it put Isaac in such a situation to defend an illusion and himself at the same time? It seems counter productive to it's goal of returning to the planet.
It was obvious to me she was dead during the shuttle sequence, but I thought she died after the beacon part and not before Isaac even got there.
