Deathclaws...which one?

which deathclaw should i get? ive basically narrowed it down between mother and kldraav...people keep telling me he is good, but i played mother in another game and she was awesome...though i never played any other deathclaws so many i just didnt know what i was missing =]

so...which one is better and WHAT IS YOUR REASONING? thanks in advance.
 
I like Shriek. Just get him the flower child perk, pump him full of mutie, psycho and buffout, and Ta-daa, you have a killing machine.
 
the mother has too few APs to really be any good. I chose Krldraav but he was promptly blown up. deathclaws aren't that good in FOT; their natural armor is flimsy and they don't do much damage (compared to, say, a shotgun at close range).
 
mother has like 11 APs i think, and she has 30% natural armor when you get her. also she has like twice the HP of a human...also she can throw too, which is awesome...

Mother wins easily IMO. The Brutish Hulk Perk means that by level 20 she has about 354HP to everyone elses 130'ish. So she can take a huge crit and still stagger off. Also the deathclaws natural attacks seem to generate an amazing amount of knockdowns. I've seen mother take out an opponent who never even got off the floor + you are more likely to crit prone opponents. She qualifies for extra HTH attack and with one action boy perk (12AP) she gets six HTH slash attacks a round or three gouges. She can use grenades so shes not all HTH. Because she doesnt use weapons she can carry an awful lot with her 12 STR. Also she/deathclaws seem to travel faster when running. If you combine that with silent running the a super scout.

Oh yes deathclaws CAN use unarmed weapons so you can tool one up with a power fist. I don't because IMO I noticed the knock downs went down hill fast which I think is more useful.

i though the patch fixed the death claws ability to wield any weapon except Thrown weapons.
 
I dunno but I was patched to 1.27 and equiping UNARMED stuff. Couldn't use melee weapons though
 
really , she can use power fists , hmm , but iff i put the glove with a 3 shotgun shells , will it work ??

gotta try it with grenades ....
