"Design a character" thread

So I've been wanting to do little YouTube videos showcasing the new stuff in my mod (FIXT, see my sig) but I've also been wanting to play through Fallout 1 because it's been a long time since I actually played it beginning to end. Several years probably.

Anyway I was trying to think of crazy character builds to play, and then I realized you guys could probably think of more interesting ones. So, why not turn my showcase videos into a Let's Play Fallout FIXT! And if I'm going to do that, I should do so with an interesting character, not some run of the mill yawn-fest.

Also it would be fun for people to read this thread to get ideas for their next playthrough, or just for a laugh.

So here's the "rules": None. You can and should pick any values for stats, any Traits, any Tags and Perks. You can do just what's available on the Create Character screen, or dictate every skill and Perk allocation through the life of a character. You can dictate play style or just the numbers. Also feel free to embrace 'newbie mistakes' like "wasting" points (going above 9 in any stats) or by picking inferior Perks/Traits. We're looking for fun and roleplay here, not math and efficiency. (cough World of Warcraft cough) You can be as basic or complex as you like with your character.

Some ideas to get you started:
-- TRUE ROLEPLAY character (back story, play style, etc. "True RP" means one that is plausible and realistic)
-- DUMB character (INT <= 3)
-- SOCIOPATH character (genocide, bad things involving children, planting explosives using Steal skill, whatever. )
-- PACIFIST character (avoids combat at all costs, and never puts points/traits/perks into combat skills)
-- STEALTH character (ninja-esque Perks, Traits, style, skill allocation)

Here's a template for ya:
Code:

Here's my first creation:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NAME: Tal

AGE: 19

SEX: Male

TAG SKILLS: Unarmed, Doctor, Steal

STRENGTH: 4

PERCEPTION: 4 (technically 3 at day, 5 at night)

ENDURANCE: 7

CHARISMA: 7

INTELLIGENCE: 7 (technically 6 at day, 8 at night)

AGILITY: 10

LUCK: 1

----------------------

Traits: Fast Metabolism, Night Person

Back story: Tal is a perseverant and surprisingly optimistic young man who's always had to rely on his charm, wits, and lightning-fast reflexes to escape the pitfalls and situations that he constantly finds himself in.

Despite trying very hard all his life to be the best person he can be, everything seems to go as badly as possible for him at every turn. Some say it's a curse from his father's side of the family (his grandfather got himself killed under suspicious circumstances after crossing some very bad people for some very good money, as did his father). Some simpler folks think he's possessed. Others wonder if he's an engineered soldier from the Brotherhood Of Steel simply getting karmic payback for... whatever it is those crazy armored freaks do.

Due to the years of taking numerous physical trauma under various unlikely circumstances, he is not nearly as tough as an active boy of his age should be, due to muscle and bone damage. He also has some minor scarring in both eyes (causing sunlight to generate a halo effect in his vision), partial deafness in his left ear, and cannot smell anything after that incident with the stovetop explosion. However, he has built a good pain tolerance and stamina from these same injuries. His body has understandably learned to heal quickly in light of all the abuse it receives.

Tal doesn't know why he was gifted with such speed and reflexes, but he didn't avoid putting it to good use when the Overseer let Anthony from Level 3 start a boxing club. While he doesn't hit very hard because of both his arms being broken more than once, his endurance and stamina combined with his exceptional speed have evolved into a passion for the martial arts, and many wins for him in the ring.

He spent many sleepless nights pouring over every medical holodisk he could find in the Vault, eventually learning enough to be able to mend and set his frequent breaks and punctures.

His terrible luck has led to more than a few moments of despair, poverty and hunger. While he's not proud of it, He has learned to surreptitiously "borrow" from others what he needs to survive during the worst of his misfortunes.

He was picked to leave the Vault after accidentally getting his mother crushed to death while they were redecorating her room.

While he mourns her absence as well as his father's, he looks forward to seeing what the outside world has to offer. Perhaps he can find a place to settle down, a place where maybe - just maybe - his luck will finally turn around.

Fixed :D Anyway, always interesting to do this kind of playthroughs, I'll think about some character concept :)

Here's the ones that come with the Fallout Official Strategy Guide. Please forgive the quality, they were taken with a phone camera:
