I just got the latest issue of PC gamer (free, I refuse to pay for it), and certainly Desslock keeps an eye on the situation. Here's a snip of the article with the important bits. If people want, I'll scan the article and post it.
A Welcome Fall
Upcoming RPG mixes Fallout stylings with a living world.
...Now another European developer, Silver Style Entertainment (Soldiers of Anarchy), may have a tonic for Fallout fans still gnashing their teeth over the recent shelving of Interplay's unannounced sequel.
As its name suggests, The Fall was definitely inspired by the Fallout series, and is set in the same kind of post-apocalyptic future where Mad Max ganes run rampent...
...Despite their frequent innovations and overseas success, European RPGs are often viewed with skepticism in the North American market... why The Fall has yet to secure a North American publisher. But it its living-world aspects work as intended, The Fall will represent a nice jump forward in the "virtual world" school of RPG design. And roleplayers will have another reason to thank Old Europe.
I actually like this guy, he is being honest ("if its living-world aspects work as intended..." and "nice jump"). If the rest of PC Gamer was like this, I might subscribe.
Anyway, there isn't any obvious member with the name Desslock or the public e-mail of alternatelives@pcgamer.com. Of course, that means nothing. Perhaps we should chant his name until he appears?
