Dioramas

First time out of the vault
Hey guys,

I'm looking to start arty things and as models make painting easier (for the artistically challenged like myself) and fallout rocks I'm thinking of entering the heady world of fallout dioramas.

I fully intend to cheat probably using warhammer 40,000 models to build the dioramas (the imperial guard ones to fellow uber nerds) but other wargaming models may well prove more apt.

Any suggestions as to what might make a good diorama though?

I'm thinking the first cave with a nice silver wheel of the vault behind and nasty scorpions and rats lurking around would be cool, but what other things scream FALLOUT at you?

Suggestions are welcomed.

Oh and this is my first post here, so Hi!

Maybe recreate one of the original loading screens? Hero and dog running from airplane. Hero and heroine on top of junkheap or something. Hero being grappled by ghouls.

Interesting.

I was TOTALY into warhammer 40k some years ago.
Then i realized, I'm far too cool for warhammer 40k.

Maybe try it with 1:35 scale. I think u can use lots of parts from WH40K and add them to a converted 1:35 soldier. The WH40k guns are so oversized! And there are heaps of 50's car models in 1:35 which can be falloutized (rust, overdone retro shit etc.)
Modern SWAT units can be simply converted into guys in combat armor (some putty here and there) when u replace the legs, coz all fallout characters kinda wear tight pants.

Scrubbing of the structure off from a random 1:35 modell + some putty = Vault Dweller. (and don't screw up with the paintjob or some guys, including me, are gonna kill u!)

Real guns combined with WH40k guns make perfect fallout weapons, when done right.

The bolt pistol (the small one up there) looks pretty similar to this...

Parts from terminator armors can be used for creating enclave troops.

Regular space marines can be raped to create Brotherhood Paladins.
