Still Mildly Glowing
When I was playing new Vegas recently I started to think about what the fallout universe would have been like in the 50s to70s, early in divergence. What events happened like the real world and what not? The Korean War for instance; I would think that it did happen in the fallout universe mostly because it fits the theme so well, the US’s first combat experience against the Chinese. We know the USA in fallout built the interstate highway system so that seems to suggest that Eisenhower was president. Now race relation in the fallout universe, given the lack racism that seems to show us that the civil right movement happened. Now I don’t think the Vietnam War could have happened, without that war perhaps the counter culture movement never existed, this would help explain the 50s cultural stasis. Another thing I was thinking about was what if whoever was president instead of Richard Nixon visited the USSR instead of China and this lead to USSR to go down the path that China did in the real world, as I can see the Sino-Soviet Split happening this may explain the friendly relation with soviets.
