Do you believe in Supernatural?

Ahhh!!!!! At last Ramadhan is finished!!! And i lose 10 pounds (Thanks to steady diets of dates and Ice and some rice reducing programs....) Well happy Ied to some Pakistani and Iranian guys here (I believed we got 3 Pakistani and 1 Iranian here)....

Hmmm, last we talk about religion. I wondered one thing, do you believe in Supernatural? Mystique? Magick? I know most of you were Westerner and know is 21st century and all thing about black cats and witch were from Medieval.....
The truth is i don't believe it much! But well... I live in Asia and here... YOU MUST BELIEVE IT!!!! LIKE IT OR NOT!!!
Don't you know that here most people still believe something like that?(especially Chinese...) Why? Because something like that always happened almost everyday!! Let me share you my story....
Few month ago, my Aunt in Surabaya get very sick. So she came to a doctor. And believe these... every doctor in this hospital said she's okay! She didn't got any disease (or more appropriately doctor don't know what infect her!!). Well, how a person who could barely walk, talk and got reddish lump all over her body is healthy??
My uncle get desperate until somone told him "Hey! Why don't you go to kyai (Islam spiritual leader. Like a priest and preacher. Some kyai, priest and padre here also a paranormal...)"
So off they went to a rural village. The Kyai said "Bring me an egg. Then try squeeze that in your palm with all your stength! If that broke, sorry. I can't help your wive." Well, get these. We could crushed eggs easyly. Just put it in your palm and squeeze it.... Simple right.
Well somehow he couldn't broke that. So the Paranormal said "Okay, i'll try to help her. Hope Allah give me strength..."
Well guess what. After some kind of spell, chant, pray and some elixir and potion the lump were burst and from the inside came out wire, nail, needle and other rusty thing. How this thing could enter her body? "Come back next week?" said the Paranormal.
Next day my aunt went back to hospital. She still sick but felt little well. And the doctor again confused, why a lady who very sick few days ago become healthier now? Of course the doctors don't believe these Mystical mambo jambo until they came with my aunt to the paranormal during the next medication and saw it by theirself!!!
Well actually this is what happened. My Aunt were a school vice headmistress. She got promotion very fast and some of her rival teachers feel very jealous. So they went to paranormal and ask them to curse my aunt! by sending those rusty nail, wire and needle......
Well, i got some more story like these. Are there any of you got similar story?
Like i said, in Asia, you must believe something like that!

I *think* there are supernatural things out there. Ghosts and the like. Not through any "encounters" I've personally had, but from people I've talked to (sane, normal people for a change) who've had things move about the house, odd things happening here and there, noises, voices, seeing them etc...

For instance, a guy I know used to run a restaurant down in Tasmania with his wife. It did reasonably well but he says the place was haunted. I can't remember exactly what he said happened, but odd things went on, noises, things moving and so on. So I reckon there are ghosts/some supernatural things out there.

I don't, however, believe in curses and things like that. I have serious issues believing that your Aunt had a lump of wire and nails in her neck, and that it was the result of a curse. I think the doctors in your country must be suffering from something themselves to not see red lumps on her body.

Nope. I've got nothing when it comes to spiritual stories from my own experience.

I should not disavowal things I never seen or exactly never happen.Supernatural?perhaps it exist,but not your aunt's example.
I think your Aunt just happened to some fuck careless and stupid doctors.
Islam?.......seems too dangerous to touch it for me.......
If religion can remove disease.....why should we keep these
doctors who always get a lot but do little?
Can a cleric cure Cancer or AIDS?Anybody have seen such
a miracle by himself?

The night my uncle wich was very close to me (like a second father) died in a camping accident, i was also camping 600 miles away (helping a girl lose her virginity).
I woke up startled during the night and looked at my watch, i found out when i came back from that camping trip that my uncle had died and that the time (02H37) was the same time that the doctor said my uncle died. !!

My grandfather wich died when i was 7 was burried in his hometown (Chicoutimi, about 8 hour drive from where i live) being that young i was not allowed to go. Later on in my life i went to College in that town, wich i hadn't been in in close to 17 years (last time i was 4). One day after class i got on my mountain bike and went for a ride, By luck i found the cemetery. I tought i'll try to find my grandfater's grave. (try this go into a cemetery that you don't know and try to find someone's grave without any help) two minutes later i was standing on a grave and when i looked down, it was my grandfather's. It then started to snow!!! (this is June, and even tough i'm in Quebec this does not happen) I got scared and climbed back on my bike and pedalled away scared as hell.

I don't believe in Gods or higher powers and I can't explain any of these "encounters" but ....

Not only Islam dude, here we also got some Christian Priest who could do "miraculous magical healing" and there were many of them. Just curious, are you guys considered this priest heretic ore something?
About my aunt, what kind of wire lump? How those thing could enter her body?
And how a person could squeeze an egg without broke it? As i said before I also don't believe something like that, but here that things happens everyday so you MUST believe that....
About ghost, I knew a guy, a cousin of our country famous actress, who could do something supernatural like seeing ghost and telepath. His aunt is a Tarot Fortune Teller and most of his family got similar ability.
Big Fat Mama even knew someone who got "unlocking cantrip" spell. Once his friend locked this guy in toilet and he could unlock it (It using bolt and could only locked from outside. But this guy could open the bolt from inside with some kind of Telekinetics.)
But i believed some of this phenomenon could explained by science but some other couldn't. The truth is out there....
About AIDS, yes! Some cleric and in other Asian country claimed they could cure that! Using traditional methods using Herbs and other theraphy..... I neves see it by myself but some patient were better altough they didn't cure completely. Perhaps i'll check that again?
We must return to traditional way to cure our disease. No side effect and cheap.....
 
Well, Now I talk supernatural:

I almost get killed (strangled, beaten up, such other) when one of my friend got auh... what's the translation in english for "kesurupan"?? Uh its like "posessed" you know, by this evil spirit or such or djinn or I don't know what else. My other friend had almost got the same experience as I, but her ran faster than me....

Telekinetics we got a lot here!!!
1. My friend can wash his hand with HCl
2. My sweet petite female friend can lift up something that three other men can't do together
3. If you think Eating glass and such was great feat, wait till you see ones who eat Zinc roof and (IRON)Barrel as breakfast!!!
4. Bending metal rod for house construction by pushing it on the end with his THROAT!!!

They are not heretic or phony but as clear as anyting in this world. Just because we can't perceive it, just becuse we don't understand it, it doesn't mean it isn't exist.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine killed himself. He didn't die immediately, but his mother found him unconscious. They took him to the hospital, and I got together with a group of friends and we waited together for some word of his condition. Shorty after doing we all got together, we were told that he was stabilized but still in critical condition. We waited around for a few more hours, until about 2 in the morning when we said our goodbyes and went home. When I woke up my mother told me he had died during the night... at about 2 AM.

A lot of the time I don't believe in supernatural occurances, but every now and then something like this happens which seems more than coincidental.

Lemme tell you about my mum. In 1995 one of my uncle died from Tubercholosis ( We are big family! My dad is the 3rd from 12th kids and my grand ma got 17 brothers and sisters. My mum is the 2nd from 4 and my uncle who died is the first. My aunt who cursed is the wife of the 4th). One day my mum got some strange dream. In her dream he met my uncle. He were chatting with some guy. When he saw my mum he said: "Hey! Let me introduce you to my new friend." That morning we come to his grave. And beside his grave we saw a freshly filled grave which filled recently, last night.
Or about my dad's experience during Tour of Duty in East Timor, '77. One day after one patrol my dad, as a platoon commander, realized that one of his men lost in mist. So he and the whole company come back up hill to find the man. After searching for whole day, the day getting dark and the Fretilin Guerilla came down hill, he recalled the search and returned to home base. That morning one of his man calls a local Cleric.
"Okay! Bring me an egg!" ask the Cleric. The Cleric then hold the egg. And somehow in the egg, a tiny dot like lasers appears and going turn around circling the egg. "Okay, your man still alive. But if the dot stopped! He'll die!"
Few days later during a patrol my dad's men found that poor guy, shocked, sitting under coconut tree. What he said were interesting: "I don't know what happened Lieutenant! I could saw you guys looking for me. i even called you. But you all seems can't saw me. During the night i saw the guerillas came with dogs but they can't saw me. Even the dogs can't smells me. It likes i've been thrown to another dimension."
It's quite interesting story. Anyone ever see a ghost?
