I heard this song a few years ago and it's still in my head. I don't know the band name nor the song name, but i do know that it was made before 1995, the video of the song includes giant balloons bouncing down a stone hallway, giant flags and statues caried by people, also people sitting in a circle throuwing the giant balls at each other. And i know only one line in the song: "The grass was greener" - the chorus begins with this.

Heh, I actually know the answer to this..

The song is called "High Hopes" by the group "Pink Floyd" off the CD "The Division Bell".

Here are the full Lyrics of the song "High Hopes",
and your correct on the beggining of the Chorus. ;)

"High Hopes"
Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun

Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut?

There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The nights of wonder

Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide

At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world

Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river

Forever and ever "

Heh, anyhow, there ya go :)

Giant Balloons

Giant balloons bouncing down stone hallways. Are you trying to make Chris Taylor turn Fallout 3 into a game consisting of piloting large balloons down stone hallways, occasionally having battles which test your wit and power in the game of circle-sitting ballthrow?

LOL

LOL, well if there is a hidden joke there, towards the original poster, then I missed it.

Please ignore my ignorance, since I'm sure you already knew this, and again that I probably just missed some inside joke or something. (I'm fairly new to the boards , posting occasionaly on the Fallout 1 board), so I don't know most of you yet ;)

Just in case your not making a joke, the reference to the giant balls and balloons etc.. really is a part of the video for that song. It's quite a unique video. Mind you I only saw it once, and I would have never figured out the song based on the video description. It was the chorus line that triggered it. ;)

Anyhow, I probably already made a fool of myself ;) LOL!!

Cool... another Pink Floyd fan...

Actually, I pretend that I'm a fan of Pink Floyd and I try to justify it by saying "uh... I own Dark Side of the Moon" or "I've heard The Wall". When people find out that I don't really know what I'm talking about, they stop asking questions.

RE: Heh, I actually know the answer to this..

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have answered the question that's been in my head for many years. As you can now see, i was not making a joke, but i guess i should have worded my question better to avoid the insults.

HappySuitcase Man: Heh, well that's fine. Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best albumns. So your on the right track. :)

Take my advice though and check out some of their other stuff: "The Wall", "Animals", "Wish you were here" are amongst my favorites. Not much by them that's bad really. :)
