Does killing neutral creatures affect town reputation ?

Like in question, I mean both animals - agressive and non-agressive and humans (Tubby's friends in The Den, Slaves in Den). By neutral i mean creatures which killing brings no raise or drop in karma.
 
I'm fairly sure that killing people in the locations will create a drop in the reputation, although it may be that you need to take out a number of denizens for that. But I guess you'd need to try and see to determine the specifics ;)
 
Now i am fairly certain that is doesn't. I usually kill off any characters which i don't consider useful, and which killing does not upset town population. These include all animals (brahmins too, no one cares, even in Modoc, but you have to do it discreetly), Tubby's friends, Frankie, his whore, Billy, junkies in New Reno, The list goes on...
You can even kill all the slaves in The Den (kill 24, release the last one, and then kill him/her too, tons of exp that way). I know it's kinda stupid but that's how i roll, and i never refrain to killing in random encounters. I like to know how much exp i can squeeze out of every location before moving on to the next one.

One thing always bothered me, im suprised no one tried to do something about it. Whenever you kill a good critter your karma and town reputation takes a hit, but when your NPC does the killing, no one cares. Moreover, you can attempt to hit a critter, miss and then let your NPC finish it off. That way you get the exp, and you still maintain whatever reputation you had. You could kill entire town, and still be Idolised there. I wish someone would make a mod which would adress this issue. Perhaps direct control of NPCs adresses this issue, but sadly it is no longer compatible in current sfall.
