Some people describe in their walkthroughs how to finish all quests in the game, even conflicting ones. Well, sure, this gives you tons of XP, but it doesn't make sense for reasons of roleplaying. You have to side either with Vault City or NKR/Bishop and then you can't just go ahead and help both, because it simply doesn't make any sense! So you first go help Lynette and Westin and then kill Westin and Carlson? Doesn't make sense!
If you side with NKR, don't finish the following quests:
- don't make the raiders leave, let them attack the bigots in Vault City
- then the following quests will be unavailable as well:
betray Thomas Moore to Lynette
Deliver Lynette holo to Westin
deliver Westin's answer
that's ok, because siding with Vault city is just wrong, for moral reasons, you know, Vault city is a dictatorshop and a slaver society, and besides, they are petty bourgeois philistines, bah, they must be annexed by the democratic NKR. Sure, Bishop doesn't help NKR out of pure altruism, but even if he helps out of greed, it still serves a good course.
You can then become Bishop's made man in Reno, just don't talk to him afterwards, because he gets all jealous, if you slept with his wife and you will be forced to kill him, and then he will never be able to help NKR. For the same reason, don't re-trap his safe, just let him alive.
Sure, you lose tons of XP this way, but believe me, it's a a far more satisfying gaming experience, because this shows you can see the entire picture here. Don't let yourself be exploited by various parties in the game, side with one of them you believe to pursue the true course and then stay with it.
