So... Last time I made a thread at this section, I introduced you to MGQ. I admit, it was a huge mistake, seriously. Now that I look at it, I see how flawed the story is and just dumb.

However, there is a kind of sequel made by the same company known as MGQ Paradox.

It is basically a jRPG, but with different type of game over (Monsters Raping our Protagonist).

First of all, there is much less adult content than in the trilogy. In fact, you can play the game, without seeing more than breasts of the monsters. Which is already an improvement, over the orginal.

Second of all, it is much better designed and written than the orginal trilogy. There are more characters, the world is much more believeable and the story is really damn good.

To put it simply, the world is different than it should be, a Paradox so to speak. And our main protagonists set out to uncover truth behind it. Traveling to alternate dimensions, finding how some of the worlds turned out and much more.

Then there is the combat itself. There is a lot of depth in it. Every character has got several races they can choose, depending on their origins. A Lamia can become a Boa Lamia, Miko Lamia and Something. Each race has got a bit different stats and resistances.

Then there are jobs. There are three types of jobs - beginner, intermediate, advanced (Not in the first part). From a simple warrior to a mighty necromancer through Paladins and such. The amount of depth and strategies you can create is simply astounding. Mastering each class, gives more skills and abilities for the character to use.

All in all, it is a really good game, with a good plot and characters. It is not an RPG, but if you like jRPGs, then this one deserves some attention.

You should give Custer's Revenge a try. It's a real classic that started the genre, the craftsmanship is on par with The Witcher 3.

I played a bit of it and it still has the same problems than the last one. The vore scenes and other weird fetishes, like it was made by someone who has no idea how vaginas work. Or hates the concept of sex altogether.

I looked it up because you wrote this article. I wonder why whoever made these games decided to make this one on RPG Maker.
Also there doesn't seem to be an official english version, is that right?

Pretty much, there is only dargoth incomplete translation. It translated most of the important bits (story, what characters say, etc). I doubt there will ever be a localization, due to it being both a porn game and a niche franchise. Which is kind of sad, since it is quite well written despite what it is.

This whole thing should be changed from 'Female Dom' to 'Male Sub'. Honestly, I think that they focused way too much on the whole rape aspect. Does consensual not exist in MGQ world?

Anyway, there is also MGQ Ecstasy - Mod, which adds a ton of depth to original trilogy and even points out many of the flaws and tries to explain them. Not complete, but definitely better than orginal trilogy in more ways than one.

That´s pretty much why the plot is so dumb. "We shouldn´t fight agains´t people who want to rape us and eat us". The plot looks like it was written by someone who never had a real conversation with someone else.

I´ve played that one before. It feels better written than the actual thing (but thats not much of an anchievement), and it has actual consensual sex. Shame it still has that awful "defeat" soundtrack.

It is part of the orginal trilogy, then again, I imagine finding a single file would be pretty easy to fix. Personally, I do not really care for majority of the rape scenes and would rather avoid them in the first place. Losing is pretty damn horryfing, including being eaten alive, turn into a semen slave, sucked endlesly as food, becoming so addicted to pleasure that you can not go back anymore... Yeah, not a big fan of that.

I wish there was something better than MGQ, but there isn't. There is only that manga, where a protagonist (DARLING-SAMA) is surrounded by a bunch of monster girls, who all fall in love with him. And I found it pretty dull, all things considered.

Really? I didn´t notice any harem tropes and only one falls in love with the protagonist and the word love is doubtful in this case.
