Mine

First time out of the vault
Hi,
I started playing Fallout Tactics again a few weeks ago and got the urge to draw... this is the result... enjoy

I'm still figuring out if i should bother colouring it... if you guys want me to, i will... let me know

Clean the sketch up, add some lighting, and it'll be all right.

yes the picture itself is not bad,

but im not a big Fallout:Tactics Fan.

Maybe you make some Fallout1/2 drawing.
I mean you have the talent for it.

sweet.... would be awesome to see this in color

I`m not a fallout tactics lover... in fact i hate what the did... Fallout was a ROLE PLAYING GAME not a "tactics wars game" but ok... i like the drawing... it would be nice to see it in color... but first clean the lines a little.
I really like it...keep on it.

Wow, kudos. You've got a great composition there and its all lovely and in proportion.

I got bored the other night and after thinking what a wonderful sketch and how bad I am i gave it a go.

Now i'm no good at sketching at the moment and i really just want to practice so I hope you don't mind me using it for that.

Could anyone give me any tips? I think the outlines on the figure are too thick but i'm not really one who'd know. It looks too cartoony for my liking.

Well.

1. It's not finished. That makes all the colouring invalid, as the white spaces stick out like an Alec in a pedicure salon.

2. As you said, the outline is thick. Way thick.

3. Try doing it like this, next time: Before going into details, shading and stuff like that, fill up all the empty spaces with a "Base Color", the average color of the thing you're painting, so you don't have ugly white spaces like that.

4. After doing a layer of said base color, make a layer for shadows, another one for highlights, and flesh out the details.

Sweet. Keep it up.

Although I do think the two dudes (or are they girls) look kinda... thin... but it's ok.

Continue this work - it's looks good. May be next will be from Fallout 1/2 game? Some scenes from Necropolis? :-)

Wow, I like the render!

Even though the outlines are thick, it gives it a unique look, that I really do enjoy seeing. The people are way too far out of proportion. Look at the size of the guy's arm, compared to his torso and waist!

If I had arms as thick as them, I'd be able to lift a super mutant.

Hmmm, I have to admit, i love the way you've done the sky... and you've also inspired me to actually colour it. Very nice effort.

Anyway, i've got an awful lot of uni work in the next 5 days, but after than i'll be able to give it ago.

I'll do a quick tidy up of the pic and do a base colour, as wooz mentioned above, then you can go crazy shading it.

I'll do that when i get back from a meeting i've got to go to, so in about 4 hours... till then, have fun.

Ok, as i mentioned before, i'm not going to get much chance to work on this again for almost a week, so you'll just have to bear with me.

California, if you wanna work your magic with the sky again, it'd be much appreciated... how did you do that anyway? gradient fill with a lens flare or something?... cause it does look mighty impressive.

Anywho, here's the base colour version

Not bad, now polish the sketch a bit more :D

Gradients suck, so does the lens flare render. Just decrease the "hardness" setting of your brush, and use the layer mode to change it into soft/hard/vivid light as you please.

Ok, once i got started i just found it tricky to stop... so i started shading the armour... not how i really want it, but it's a start...

I tried my best to replicate something like the sky you did Cali, i think it turned out ok... will get revised though

Though the last pic could use a bit more polishing, it look very nice as it is. The bullet wound on the shoulder looks quite realistic. Keep it up!
