Dual core makes game speed up

As many of you already may know some games have problems with dual core, I'm trying to play Kotor2 without having to alt+tab out to the task manager and switch the cores. So are there any hotfixes or similiar that makes it possible to start it on one core without changing manually everytime?

Unfortunately, Windows doesn't have a setting for that (neither Vista nor XP) option, dunno about Windows 7 as the RC is still downloading from MSDN.

I recall Tomshardware found a processor affinity application that you could use to create profiles for different games to be assigned to specific cores.

There is a command line tool to set a core affinity to a running executable, can be thrown in batch script. used to have to do it with system shock 2 all the time. I'll see if i can locate that script example this weekend.
