Ehm, where are the cities?

Agrippa

First time out of the vault
I started with blowing up Megaton. Now after 26 hours I have yet to find even one town! The only crowded place is Rivet City but that is just a boat. I know there are ghoul and slaver settlements, and BOS-settlement, but are there no real towns with people in it?

I mean, in F2 you had several large cities with whore houses, different gangs fighting, gambling areas etc etc, a lot goin on and a lot of things to do and talk to.

I wonder, since I have not explored the upper western part except the Conclave spot, there ought to be atleast one "town" in game with some fun stuff going on in? Could the town be up there in the west or somewhere else where I haven't looked?

Or could it be so that the game contain no other "town" except Megaton, which I blew up? And yes, I know it is Washington.

Paradise Falls in north, slightly east of the river.

There is Arefyu, which is NW of megaton.

The ant-robot town is just NW of the ruins of DC.

Can't think of anymore at this moment.

There are no real cities, except for the slaver city of Paradise Falls. Arefu can't really be called a town.

... now you tell me. Thinking i'd play the noble Shining example of Goodness for the wastes I went in guns blazin' like in Metzger's slave pen.

I noticed that there's a disturbing lack of 'game', in this game. Without fast-travel, (which I abhor), it mostly consists of walking between points highlighted on a map for hours on end. I liked being able to complete interesting quests within the boundary of a single city/town.

Think i'll go play a real game.. maybe fix a mine air purifyer or something.

There's also Canterbury Commons, Big Town, Little Lamplight and Underworld, which is a ghoul town.
