Still Mildly Glowing
You know how the proton axes do EMP damage against robots and power armor, and how they have those glowing blades? I got an idea: Proton spears, thrown and otherwise, that do the same thing! Could you imagine some Legionary, raider, or tribal ripping the shit out of someone in fucking power armor with an EMP spear like that? That'd be an awesome mod to have in FNV!
Damage, weight, and weapon HP would be about the same as clean knife spears and throwing spears, but the damage would be a bit higher. And like the protonic inversal axes, let's add protonic inversal spears that do a little more damage than that.
Model: Imagine a proton axe with a long handle and spearhead instead of an axe head for the melee spear; and something similar but shorter for the thrown version.
Item placement: Put caches of them throughout Big Mountain and the Sink, as well as that home of all weapon mods per the will of the Fallout gods, Doc Mitchell's house. Have the Van Graffs and Brotherhood of Steel sell them, along with other merchants upon finishing Old World Blues (like how you can only buy war clubs and Yao Guai gloves after finishing Honest Hearts).
Make them craftable, too. For the close-quarters version: 1 knife spear, 1 conductor, 1 fission battery. Same recipe for the protonic throwing spears, but substitute throwing spears for knife spears. Put a holotape for the recipe in the Sink bedroom and you're golden.
