i think that fallout 3 should have more of a present day look instead that 1800's crap. I think that fallout 3 will take place about 50-100 years after f2 so they should finnaly give the game a better look. Im not saying add flying mechanical alien frying pans but give it like the look of lets say new reno in fallout 2.

Black Isle Studios made Fallout look retro-50's on purpose. Fallout has to deal with a nuclear war, and the 50's represent the era where a nuclear strike was one of the biggest concerns of every American. The Vaults are based off of the Fallout shelters many Americans made in leu of the threat of bombs.

I think that the retro-50's look gives Fallout a great motif for this fact. All the dead 50's-style cars laying around, the old buildings, hell everything.. gives it that motif that is pure Fallout.

i understand what your saying but i still think that it would be neat if they put a couple more now a day citys, the war took place a long time ago. But i guess you are right becuz that would wreck the entire post nuclear theme

Well it's just to mock the 50's nuclear scare that was rampant during those times.

They can add all the new city stuff they want.. I just like the old cars and western cities all over.

Notice the the Sierra Army Depot and the enclave labs were pretty modern. The computers *looked* old (with tapes and such) but on closer identifying they were holotapes and stuff.
