Ever gone non combat?

Mephiston

First time out of the vault
While i always tried to avoid combat if necessary and managed cuz of high int., my char was pretty much built as an ass kicking, batallion cleansing, one man army and i pretty much played alone for the entire game
I want to know from the people who had non combat specced characters, how tough iwas t tio finnish the game and how was the experince? i felt naked without a boomstick in my hand so i never had the courage to try it

Absolutely non-combat must be a pain in the ass.

At least when you arrive in the cathedral it should become critical.

But a while ago a friend of mine played thru just with a knife.
That was the most evil quick-load massacre I ever heard about.

But there have to people being completely nuts I think.

I tried it on several occasions. It isn't that hard, really, but you probably will miss out on several quests. Just make sure you have plenty of Intelligence, Charisma, Agility and Luck, and capitalize on sneaking and sweet-talking your way out of sticky situations.
It's really worth it to try and do this at least once in Fallout.

Don't talk this way about non combat.
I feel that the dark side wants me to install
Fallout just again, and try so...

must... resist....

Actually I found the Cathedral to be the easiest part to avoid combat at.

Well, the Cathedral's basement that is. I rarely resisted blowing that bastard on the top floor to bits and pieces.

Same goes for the second basement floor.
