Look, Ma! Two Heads!
This handgun will replace the Desert Eagle original .FRM (No real life weapons in my mod...). Any tips, advices, comments?

EDIT: Done, at last... I HATE Paintedover...

I don't think that trigger can be pulled comfortably.

I also think that the... round thing -- that's probably related to the barrel -- might need some tweaking.

2 Ashmo: actually I realize that all the trigger guard and handle complex need twiking...
2 Quanium: in the end .FRM you don't even notice... Still I didn't think about this "particular"...
Thanks to you both for your tips.

The cylinder on the back of the gun is kind of distracting - it doesn't look like it fits in with the rest of the design. Other than that I like it.

Hey that anima8or looks interesting ... I wonder if that could be used to make critter FRMs?

2 Montez: that's a tingie I added when I realized the hand gun was going to be a good energy one, which isn't what I needed...
I only started modeling a few weeks ago, so I have a LOT of room to improve... Thanks for your appreciation.
2 Dude_object: today I made a Bender like robot (like the futurama character), nothing special. Just to test the animation mechanics. Making the skeleton, applying the 3d model and moving it is nothing hard ( a 5 hours job: made the model, the skeleton, joined them, decided the joints free angles/movements and, oh yhea, learnt about the interface). The stuff I'm having troubles with is rotating the skeleton/model to fit fo2 wiews. I'll tell you more inthe next few days.
I found a link to this program in the forum section of GameDev.net:
Pay them a visit, it's worth it.
Anim8or is FREE, the interface is extremely easy to operate and is a popular choice amongst indie professionals. It is considered fit for little/middle sized projects, though. Since the save function of the trial version of Milkshape3d is disabled(20 bucks) I haven't tinkered with it much, but it could be more fit.
In short: making the models is doable and somewhat easy (when you can model a human figure, which I'll learn), the troubles are angles and the ton of work for pics renaming and conversion. Again, I'll tell you more in the next future. Stay tuned and have a nice weekend, everybody out there.
