F1: bonus ranged damage

How is the bonus ranged damage (+2 damage) added with this perk in F1? Say, you do 10 damage and happen to score a critical hit x3. What will the overall damage be (before armour/resistance modifiers)?

1. (10+2)x3 = 36
2. 10x3+2 = 32
 
Although I'm not sure, the way it's phrased in-game make me assume that you just get two points tacked on at the end, after everything else. So, A, I assume. But I could be wrong.
 
From Per's guide: "Bonus Ranged Damage (2): Not enough of a bonus unless you're using a Minigun, Bozar or the like (although if you expect to score a lot of damage multiplication criticals it gets a little better). "

From the way it's phrased it sounds like your first example would be how the damage is calculated.
 
It's been a while since I last played FO1, but IIRC it added the 2 points before anything else (including damage threshold calculation). 2 levels roughly doubled the firepower of F1 automatic weapons.
