F1 BUg, cant get into 3rd floor of cathedral

ah crud!

i did everything

all i want to do is go down to the 3rd floor to kill the master, but it crashes as soon as i enter 3rd floor!


anyway t oget around htis? or does someone that has a save thats just before that?
 
hey guys, sorry to be a pain but i am having this exact same problem and installing in DOS doesnt sound too appealing to me. is there any other possible way around this? please help. if youre completely sure that theres not then could you tell me how to install it in DOS?
 
The game crashes because that your maps have been corrupted for carrying around to many items. This is the version of the too many item bug in Fallout. You could try to extract the map file of the third floor from your CD master.dat file and put it into the slot/save game that you're using. Just simply change the .map to .sav and of cause delete the original file (as it is the one that is corrupted).
