[F1] gatehering of people to get ration of water

Every morning, I think.

The water guy gives out rations to the others. It's a good chance to get the quest to catch the thief.
 
but only before returning the chip or not?
tried to spot it again and just cannot (I think it's on some specific hour and I tried to rest till 7,8,9,10 etc o'clock many times and nothing happened)
 
Yeah. Because the water was rationed when the chip broke. After returning it, there's no need to ration it anymore -- plus, the thief becomes unimportant.
 
well the gathering it's not crucial for the quest and I just wanna know at what hour it happens
most of the things you've written are quite obvious and I still can't spot it again
 
I'm going by memory here, but I remember the first time I saw this, too. It was actually kinda exciting. Here were NPCs actually carrying out the behavior that is mentioned in the game!

So, if I remember rightly, when you rest until the correct hour (and again I'm going by memory, but I think it's 8 o'clock in the morning), you also have to stand around (without resting) for some minutes while the NPCs walk in from wherever they were before. It actually takes some time for them to get there. They don't just "pop in" right at the hour.

c'mon people, really no one can check the script or something?
i've been waiting all the (game) morning and nothing happened ;/ except the guard waliking there and alone (unfortunately)
 
well, you could allways, y'know, check the scripts yourself :roll:

edit: or you could try per's fallout guide.
 
I checked the guide. and hey, if I was be able to check it myself, I wouldn't start that topic, eh?
 
Well it's a good thing I noticed this thread because I have the answer. Just walked out of the elevator on Level 3 in Vault 13 at 8:01 AM and all the citizens started the trek to gather around the water master for their daily rations. I am 1 game time day into this jaunt through the wastes also.

Hope this helps.

Now back to my game. I will mess around in the vault for a day or 2 to see if it occurs every morning and report my findings.

Edit: Did everything possilbe except get the quest for the thief and every morning at 8 am the gathering commences.
